NOVA - jobs

Contact us today if you have JOB OPPORTUNITIES for ex-Nova staff.
NOVA外国人スタッフ向けの求人情報をお持ちの企業様はご連絡ください

We have been contacted directly by a huge group of former Nova employees asking for our help; having discussed these requests with a number of hiring organizations we are pleased that the following organizations have agreed to be presented here.

Our first recommendations are the English schools listed on our Japan Jobs page.

However, if you are not already aware, we are currently in an employer's market. As job seekers flood into competition for fewer jobs, some employers seem to develop an attitude that prospective employees must be the "cream of the crop" with very little interest in wasting time on interviewing less qualified candidates. To avoid being classified as the latter, here are a few tips from the GaijinPot:

Write a Cover Letter
Employers are looking for reasons to skip over resumes.
Dress for Success
If you are hearing this for the first time, you are already out of the race.
Be Flexible
Maybe a couple of years on the Oki Islands of Shimane may not be so bad.
Network
A lot of companies are being bombarded with resumes at the moment. A personal introduction by a friend could do wonders.
Be Patient
The "official" hiring season for English teachers is still a few months away. If you have the wherewithal to stay in Japan until then, you might just want to do that.
Skill Up
Whether you decide to stick-it-out in Japan or head home, you can use this phase in your life to increase your employability by improving your Japanese or going to Graduate school.

How about jobs in other Asian countries? Whilst it is not peak hiring season at the moment in Japan, companies overseas do have a number of openings at present and will be more than pleased to receive your applications now.
